For 17 years Ilya Shevel had decorated The Metropolitan Opera stage with intricate backdrops and exquisite scenery. Now, as founder of Five Stars Studio, he brings that kind of glamour and elegance into your interiors. 

Five Stars Studio always commits to the highest standard. Working with each client individually we bring mural painting ideas from conception to completion. 

The studio creates environments with a personal touch to each home. We specialize both in residential and commercial decorative art. 

The artists are experienced in all types of hand painting techniques offering a myriad of features including wall mural and ceiling paintings, trompe l’oeil, original hand-painted details, and faux finishes such as marbleizing, wood graining, venetian marble or encaustic, antiquing, gilding and painted furniture. 

Our two pieces, a mural and a painted screen in “Americana” style were featured in 2003 National Design Triennial: Inside Design Now at Cooper Hewett Museum in New York City as a commission done for Diamond Baratta Design display. 

We decorated a vast number of interiors in The United States as well as in Europe.
